All events should be reported to the Incident Reporting Line at 1-877-518-5608 as soon as possible.
Please have available as much of the following information as possible:
- Date and time of incident.
- Public Water System Identification Number (PWSID).
- Water system contact name, phone number and email.
- Description of drinking water incident or water quality exceedance.
- Response actions taken.

Water quality spills
All events should be reported to the Incident Reporting Hotline at 1-877-518-5608 within 24 hours of discovery. See the Report a public health or environmental concern page for more details.
When reporting the event, please have available as much of the following information as possible:
- Date and time of incident.
- Permit number (if applicable).
- Potentially responsible party contact name, phone number and email.
- Description of incident, including location, volume of release, contaminant type (e.g., oil, domestic wastewater, sediment).
- Response actions taken.
- Fish kill observed.
