Better Building Leasing Financing
allows customers to either arrange lease financing through the manufacturer, vendor, or installer of the purchased energy equipment or directly with a third-party lessor.
- Capital Lease, e.g., the customer is the equipment owner, must declare equipment as an asset and lease payments as a liability.
- Operating Lease, e.g., the lessor owns equipment; the customer rents equipment at a fixed monthly payment.
COLORADO C-PACE - Property Assessed Clean Energy Financing
is a 10+ year financing opportunity with low rates paid back via property tax assessment to support clean energy and eligible energy efficiency improvements.
Collective Clean Energy Fund
is a nonprofit financial institution that funds additional investments in clean energy projects.
OBF/OBR On-Bill Financing or Repayment
occurs when the utility or private lender supplies capital, and the customer repairs to support energy efficiency, renewable energy, or other generation projects via the existing utility bill.

monitors the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) and the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) for climate investments.
Database of State Incentives for Renewables & Efficiency for Colorado
- Sales Tax Exemption for Renewable Energy Systems, City/County: tax rebates or credits to commercial properties that install renewable energy systems.
- Business Energy Investment Tax Credit, Federal: up to 30% investment tax credit depending on renewable energy technology.
- Property Tax Exemption for Renewable Energy Systems, City/County: tax rebates or credits to commercial property owners who install renewable energy systems.
- Modified Accelerated Cost Recovery System (MACRS), Federal: Businesses may recover investments in specific properties through up to 50% depreciation deductions.

PACE provides free advice, financial incentives, and certifications to help Boulder County businesses decrease emissions and environmental impact, save money, and gain recognition for their work.
SAGE Sustainable Business Program
SAGE provides free technical assistance as one of our Regional Partners in Westminster. It has a one-time rebate for buying reusable solutions to help your business comply with the new state requirements. The refund will cover up to 75% of the total costs of $1,500. Reusable solutions include but are not limited to:
- Dishwashers (EPA WaterSense Certified)
- Durable dishware
- Returnable, reusable takeout container services
- Online systems for reuse services
Town of Erie Energy Rebates
are available to businesses in the town of Erie for heat pumps, mini-splits, electric lawn mowers and more.
