Starting in 2023, the division began working on the renewal of COG641000. The renewal process included working with stakeholders to gain feedback about potential changes to the COG641000 general permit. All current permittees were invited to participate in virtual meetings. In 2025, the division will release a draft COG641000 renewal permit, which includes an additional opportunity to provide input during a public comment period. After the public comment period, the renewal permit will be issued, and the division will begin renewing and re-issuing all existing permit certifications.
How to get involved
The renewal of the COG641000 general permit for discharges of Wastewater from Water Treatment Plants is in progress. The division held stakeholder meetings in 2023 and 2024 to discuss updates and gather input.
