Radiation Advisory Committee

The Colorado Radiation Advisory Committee was created by statute. The governor appoints nine members: three from the healing arts, three from higher education and three from industry. The committee's duties include providing technical advice to us on specific issues and reviewing proposed regulatory changes. The committee meets on a periodic basis, typically four to six times per year.

State seeks Higher Education applicants for Radiation Advisory Committee

The Radiation Program via the Governor’s Office of Boards and Commissions is accepting applications for one opening on the Radiation Advisory Committee (RAC) through November 1,2024. The appointed member should be affiliated with and represent an institute of higher education. Individuals applying for this opening should have radiation safety related experience involving use of sources of radiation (x-ray or radioactive materials) and experience with implementing radiation safety requirements or programs, consistent with the RAC bylaws

Following an initial 1 year appointment, it is expected that the appointed individual will be eligible for reappointment to a full 4 year term. You must submit your application for appointment through the Governor’s Office of Boards and Commissions on or before November 1, 2024. For additional information, contact the RAC Coordinator.
